The Right Sort of Live Music For an Event

Choosing the right kind of live music events is as important a decision as a location, style of catering and the time of day. Live music creates an atmosphere and memorable ambience if well chosen. We all want the event to be successful, so here are my top tips to ensure you choose the right music for your event.
• Type of event: If you are organizing an event with the element of network for, or a dinner where people want to talk to each other music, the other will not work hard. On the other hand, after dinner entertainment for guests to dance would need a band playing loud music.
• Place: The size of the place is very important. A harpist played in the big hall with high ceilings may be lost. Similarly, a big band playing in a small space very strong, the music sounds ‘muddy’. Choose the size of your music ensembles and music instruments based on the size of your room. Even if you have a room with two or more rooms, you should consider where to look for musicians, so they can be heard.
• Size of event: A small incident in which there are 20 guests are probably not as loud background questions at larger events. However, personal taste, what a great band that is needed in the future!
• The theme of the show: There are many styles of music themed events such as dressing a certain place or food service. A steel band played as guests arrive or Scottish Piper guests sang creation effect as people arrive. Flamenco musicians and dancers for entertainment after dinner or playing jazz bands, the events to a memorable atmosphere. When you examine the event theme, including music and food, it makes a huge difference to the event.
• Time of day: During the day, an event that most of the guests who want to talk to each other and to meet new people involved. Loud music does not work in situations. As the night progresses, guests can relax and consider dance. They are talking with friends and colleagues and to let down their hair. As a rule, as the night progresses, the volume of the music and energy are increased.
• acoustics of the room: Some places are “harder” than others. Room to dust and wood absorbs sound better than places with hard surfaces or metal – which tend to vote more echo. The latter is a general challenge for the People’s Voice will echo!
• Location: Did the events occurring inside or outside? If outside, you should consider where the musicians place. Many musicians who play a valuable instrument away from direct sunlight and rain. Electrical equipment should also be away from rain. acoustic instruments such as string quartet and harp, is located next to the wall, so the sound will carry.
• The volume of the music and Limitations: Some places have restrictions on the volume. It is useful to check if your location. Some places, recording live music, but no music, but I argue that acoustic instruments like guitar, harp or string quartet can decibels lower than the CD to read!
• Space is available: If there is limited space, you will be limited in size ensemble you want. In general, an instrument that takes place mostly grand piano. Other instruments can be relatively close together and they take up less space than you’d expect. My advice would be to calculate the space and asked the musicians if they can do in that area.
• Instruments are available: If a Steinway piano is available in these places, it seems unfortunately not to use it! Pianist to play classical / crossover music, or a jazz pianist like to do on it!
• Age groups: As a general rule, as we get older, we appreciate music less loud. In addition, different age groups different tastes. We always recommend discussing music with musicians and different styles of music to be approved before the event, according to the different tastes. A dance-band music offers “from the ’60s to the noughties’ something for everyone to cover.
Live music at an event, and more crucially, choosing the right music, a big difference to the success of an event. The right questions to your music dealer, ask yourself what role you want the musicians to play at the event, and choose wisely! Good luck!
